I’ve Been Testing the Epic Traffic Systems Autoblogging Module!

Keith Baxter contacted me a couple of days ago and asked me if I’d like to test out the Epic Traffic Systems Autoblogging module! If you have read my previous posts you know that I attended Keith Traffic Domination Workshop a few months ago where he shared with attendees his autoblogging tools, which I have been using ever since. The Epic Traffic Systems version is similar, but with some really cool and very major additions. That said, my earlier Epic Traffic Systems Review of the autoblogging module (which was based on the Workshop version of the tools) still stands as a pretty good overview of the basic system. As for the major improvements I don’t want to get into trouble with Keith so I’d better not spill the beans! Let it suffice to say that the improvements are fantastic and pretty much automate everything that wasn’t already automated!

As for paid media, Jon Shugart, in an email to his Keyword Rockstar users, confirmed that the guts of the Epic Traffic Systems Paid Media module is based on Keyword Rockstar. He emphasized, however, that the two products are very different and that Rockstar will not be neglected and that development will be ongoing. I’m sure that will be the case, but in his paid media video I did notice some capabilities that have not yet been rolled out in Keyword Rockstar.

Epic Traffic Systems Review – Paid Media Traffic Part 2

This Epic Traffic Systems Review will look at Keyword Rockstar in more detail. When you first open the program to start a new campaign you select the “Keyword Research” Module and click to start a new project. You will be presented with several options, including data sources, breadth of keyword expansion, choices of stats to collect, filtering and geo restrictions. The first step is to enter a seed keyword or multiple seed keywords. You can also enter URLs to seed the keyword research.

Once you hit the start button you the program will generate your keywords faster than you expect. It depends on how much data you ask it to return, of course, but since that last couple of revisions I have been shocked at how fast it is. The data is presented in a unique structure that allows you to drag and drop various filters to manipulate the keyword data. Personally I don’t spend a lot of time playing around with my keywords because I want to get right on with building the campaign.

At this point you have the option of building a content, placement, search or media buy campaign. You aren’t limted to just one, of course, but you will build each one separately. Typically I will build both a search and a content network campaign for Google and perhaps Yahoo or Bing., starting with the search campaign. With the latest version of Keyword Rockstar, just a month or two old, the campaign build is done via a slick wizard style interface. Each of the various options are presented in turn, grouped several per screen when related. Keyword Rockstar provides a ton of options and tools involving things such as keyword grouping, geo targeting, misspelling generation, keyword grouping, token insertion, tracking code insertion etc., etc. It doesn’t do tracking itself, but has a built in tool to facilitate Tracking202.

Next the wizard takes me to tool for creating my ads, whether they be text ads or banner ads. The banner ad creator is really cool. It will create static gif ads or animated gifs or animated flash ads extremely fast. Unlike the earliest versions of the banner ad creator which was introduced around the end of 2009, the most recent version has tons of built in editing capabilities. You can use the banner ad creator to whip out ads quickly (or upload network provided ads), or spend lots of time fine tuning and tweaking your ads. Finally, in one of the coolest tricks added by the latest upgrade, with a click of a button you can upload your campaigns directly to Google, Yahoo or Bing, right from Keyword Rockstar.

I think I mentioned in my previous Epic Traffic Systems Review article that Jon Shugart listens to his customer’s concerns and is constantly improving and tweaking his software. Lots of software developers promise the moon but deliver zilch. Well, back in November of 2009 I attended the Keyword Rockstart seminar in Atlanta where Jon talked about all the great features and upgrades he had planned. I’ve got to tell you that I am really impressed to see just how much of that talk has become reality! If my experience with Keyword Rockstar is any indication of the kind of product Jon Shugart will deliver in Epic Traffic Systems, this is one product you will not want to miss out on!

I’ll bet the title of this post got your attention! Was this site really built with Epic Traffic Systems? Well, sort of…. Let me explain. Epic Traffic Systems is not yet released and I don’t yet have an official final copy, BUT… this blog was made with Keith Baxter’s private automated software system upon which Epic Traffic Systems’ “Self Contained Traffic System” is based. You see, I was one of the fortunate few who attended Keith Baxter’s Traffic Domination Workshop back in March in Atlanta. That means I have had a few months to play with and learn the system.

The component that created this blog is actually only a small part of the “Self Contained Traffic System”, but it sure is cool. In mere minutes I had a fully configured and optimized blog snarling and snorting and ready to kick the stuffing out of any blog that dares compete. And that was before I turned on the biggest, baddest automatic link-building, traffic generating machine on the planet. And with this blog I won’t even have to dust off the coolest auto-content generating engine in this galaxy (duplicate content?….. never heard of it). Yes, my friends, you should be very, very happy that you are going to have a chance to get your hands on these tools!

Take some time to read the articles here because you are going to get a lot more information about Epic Traffic Systems here than you will on most Epic Traffic Systems Review sites. Most such sites are regurgitations of the basic information offered up on the launch JV site. I hope I can provide a better review because of my experience with the underlying components. Not only am I an active user of the precursor of Keith Baxters “Self Contained Traffic” component of Epic Traffic Systems, I am also a long-time user of Jon Shugart’s amazing Keyword Rockstar and attended the Keyword Rockstar seminar last November. Finally, I don’t know Joey Smith personally, but I was one of only 50 people to gain access to a prelaunch version of Joey’s recent Turbo Marketing Formula product and I am very familiar with his approach to Social Media.

Epic Traffic Systems Review – Paid Media Traffic Part I

I’m going to continue my Epic Traffic Systems Review with a look at the Epic Traffic Systems Paid Media Traffic component. Like the other modules, the developers have not yet released a lot of information. However, considering that the module is being developed by Jon Shugart, the developer of Keyword Rockstar, we can make a pretty good guess as to some of the likely features. I think the Paid Media Traffic module is likely to be a souped -up version of his Keyword Rockstar, perhaps adding some additional features, and likely designed to be tightly integrated into the other two core components of Epic Traffic Systems. So, for purposes of this initial Epic Traffic Systems Review, I’m going to introduce you to Keyword Rockstar. Later as more details come out, I’ll write another installment to my Epic Traffic Systems Review and try to fill in some of the blanks.

I’ve been an active user of Keyword Rockstar for just under one year and I think that it is a fantastic bit of software. I use it for all my paid media campaigns. In fact I’ve already started running an Epic Traffic Systems campaign on Google Adwords, both for search and for the content network, which I created using Keyword Rockstar. What the program does is largely automate the creation of paid advertising campaigns from start to finish. I’ll get into more details with Part II of the Paid Media portion of my Epic Traffic Systems Review, but in this overview let me just say that KR makes it very easy to quickly launch a paid advertising campaign on several different platforms.

A criticism of the early iterations of Keyword Rockstar was that it was painfully slow in gathering keywords. You know what? It really truly was incredibly slow. I once let it run all day and night before it finished its assigned task. The problem wasn’t so much that it was slow, but that it was capable of downloading tens or even hundreds of thousands of keywords, plus boatloads of data for each individual keyword–that took a lot of time. Back then you could control the problem by being judicious in deciding how wide and deep to make your search, and by limiting the amount of data you would request. By selecting only the minimum amount of data necessary to create a campaign you could gather the data fast enough that you didn’t need to reintroduce yourself to your computer when it was finished.

Well, Jon Shugart isn’t a pump and dump software developer. He listens to client concerns and is constantly working to improve his software. He has made so many improvements in this program over the year that I’ve been using it that it would hardly be recognizable to an early user who hasn’t opened it recently. The speed issue is just one example. I don’t know exactly how he did it, but instead of collecting keywords at glacial pace it now does it at the speed of light. In fact, from start to finish, including creating multiple banner ads, it is possible to research, create and upload a campaign in about one hour!

One interesting side-note to this portion of my Epic Traffic Systems Review is that despite the amazing functionality of Keyword Rockstar, many internet marketers still aren’t familiar with it. That is because Jon Shugart adopted a very unique marketing model. Keyword Rockstar may be the only IM product to amass more than one million dollars in sales without ever being officially “for sale.” If you have ever visited the sales page you will have seen that there is no way to buy the product. That is because Jon has marketed Keyword Rockstar pretty much exclusively via webinars for clients of his affiliates!

Epic Traffic Systems Review – Autoblogging Part 3

Once you have your linking infrastructure built you can move on to the fun part—building your money sites using Epic Traffic Systems. (Remember, you don’t have to build out a massive infrastructure to start. You can start small or with the Starter Infrastructure I am going to give you as a part of my bonus.)

Once you select your niches and buy your domains you just load them up into the autoinstaller, along with your hosting info, and just press start. The installer goes to work loading fully configured and optimized sites with all the plug-ins (not just bare Wordpress installations a la Fantastico) onto each and every domain. When it is finished there may be a bit of housekeeping to do for each site. For example, the finished blog has a special plug-in that autoposts randomly to blogs in your linking infrastructure. The articles it posts contain links back to your sites. You will have to load a list of your infrastructure blogs into that plug-in.

The final step before you sit back and let your blog take off and bring in loads of traffic, is to set up the Article Maker. In an ingenious design, the Article Maker actually uses the Google Wonder Wheel to create a perfectly silo’d blog. Start with your keyword (which should be in your domain name if you did things right) and plug-in the results from the Wonder Wheel for the categories, article titles, etc. Insert your ad codes for whatever monetization method you plan to use. Then just tell it how often to post, turn it on, and get out of its way! The article maker truly is one of the most magical components of Epic Traffic Systems. I have no idea how it works, but I have checked its output many times against Copyscape and have rarely found duplicate content!

Before I finish my Epic Traffic Systems Review of the Epic “Self-Contained” Autoblogging Traffic System, I want to tell you about another part of my “Fast Start” Epic Traffic Systems Bonus. If you are like me, when you buy something new you like to dive in first and read the instructions later. That is why I am offering the “Starter Infrastructure” I mentioned in the previous post. Epic Traffic Systems Review – Autoblogging Part 2

I’m going to continue my Epic Traffic Systems Review with coverage of setting up your own linking infrastructure. This isn’t something that you will do with each site, but something that you will, in theory, do one time. I say “in theory” because in practice you will want to occasionally revisit your linking infrastructure to build it out further and to add additional sites.

The linking infrastructure is built on a foundation of Wordpress MU (soon to be rolled into in the upcoming Wordpress 3.0) sites that you will build out and maintain. You’ll buy domains (I recommend aged domains with existing PR, links and traffic) for your linking infrastructure and then use Epic Traffic Systems to first install Wordpress MU on each domain, and then to install tons of blogs on each MU intstallation.

You can build as many or as few linking blogs as you wish, it all depends on how large you want your infrastructure to be. You can always grow it in the future. Personally, I am up to something like 10,000 blogs at my disposal for the purposes of linking to my sites! I know, I know, that probably sounds overwhelming, but it really isn’t. First, I didn’t have to buy 10,000 domains! Due to the magic of MU, I have hundreds of blogs on each single domain! And due to the magic of Epic Traffic Systems, creation of those 10,000 blogs was easy and automated!

After you buy Epic Traffic Systems you will probably want to jump right into creating a money site and firing up the article maker, but to make the most of the system you will really want to build out your linking system first. However, if you just can’t wait to get into the meat of the system, I am here to help. As a part of my “Fast Start” Epic Traffic Systems Bonus I am going to give you a “Starter Infrastructure” of 50 sites on my own personal linking network. You can use these sites with your initial money sites, for testing, for linking to non-Epic Traffic System sites, for whatever you want. Epic Traffic Systems Review – Autoblogging Part 1

My Epic Traffic Systems Review of the Autoblogging component is going to span more than one posts. That’s because even though the initial promotional materials refer to the autoblogging system as a single core component, the autoblogging system actually has two separate sections.

In his Epic Traffic Systems Autoblogging component, Keith Baxter has masterfully created a system that will do the following with minimal human involvement: 1) set up a network of sites owned and controlled by you for the purpose of building links back to your money sites, 2) add your money site addon domains to your hosting account, 3) create your money sites, 4) post content to your money sites on an ongoing basis and 5) automatically post content to your linking network with backlinks to your money sites. Any Epic Traffic Systems Review would be shortchanging the reader if it didn’t include in-depth coverage of each component.

The original “Workshop” version of the Epic Traffic Systems autoblogging platform, which I have been using for the past couple of months, was essentially a beta version (it was built for Keith’s personal use after all, not for the general public) of what you will be using. It included a separate program to perform each of its various tasks…open and run the domain adder, then open and run the installer, etc., etc. According to Keith, the Epic Traffic Systems version is much more civilized and all the various components have been rolled into a single program with some sort of wizard style interface. Personally, I can’t wait to see the final product and discover what changes have been made!

Thanks so much for visiting Epic Traffic Systems Review! I hope I can provide some worthwhile information about Epic Traffic Systems and help you make an informed buying decision. I’ve got to warn you, though, that this is one IM product that I am really, really excited about (did I say I am REALLY excited?) I’m so excited that I am actually promoting an IM product for the very first time. I’ve been doing internet marketing for a while now, but I have always preferred maintaining a low profile…just been doing my own thing. Frankly, what has drawn me out of the dark is the people that are behind Epic Traffic Systems and my personal knowledge of and experience with the individual components.

Here is what I am talking about. Keith Baxter and Jon Shugart are two of the IM “gurus” I respect and admire most. They are genuine, honest, and truly seem to care about helping others to succeed. Not only that, I also am an active user of Keith’s “Workshop Installer” system upon which Epic Traffic System’s Autoblogging component is based, and I am a long-time user of Jon Shugarts “Keyword Rockstar” which, I assume, provides the foundation for the Epic Paid Media Traffic component. Now, I don’t want to exclude Joey Smith from all the backslapping going on here, but the fact is I don’t know as much about him. But if he is good enough for Keith and Jon, he’s good enough for me! Lol

Now, you are going to see a lot of Epic Traffic Systems review sites, if you haven’t already. At the time of this writing the only information that has been released to the public is a very sparse outline of the system on the JV site. Most reviews are rehashes of that same information, and most reviewers have no clue what Epic Traffic Systems is all about. I hope to be able to provide you will a little deeper insight into how it all works than does the typical Epic Traffic Systems review you might find out there.
